As a lifelong surfer, born and raised on the beaches of Los Angeles, Silver has grown to understand the deep-rooted connection we have with our natural environment. Through his experiences in traveling the world to find waves to surf, Silver has realized the importance of respecting our earth and is passionate about incorporating sustainable practices into his artistic process.

Have A Nice Day Painting Co. emerged with a mission to spread positivity and inspire individuals to embrace the beauty of having a nice day. Art with a Purpose forms the bedrock of Silver's creative journey. From exchanging greetings with strangers to acknowledging others' contributions, kindness plays a pivotal role in shaping the canvas of life. The essence of H.A.N.D. art lies in cultivating a ripple effect of kindness and positivity, enriching the fabric of our communities.

Diving deep into H.A.N.D. art’s Surfboard Series, Silver utilizes recycled, broken surfboards as a way to honor the life of a surfboard. Each surfboard can live on, serving as a platform to promote Silver’s positive message - Be Kind to All, Treat Others With Respect, and Love Yourself. His art takes something that had a finite purpose and restores it with a new reason for being. Each surfboard created embodies these artistic principles, serving as a physical representation of the fundamental philosophies Silver lives by. A majority of the surfboards Silver paints on have been donated by other surfers in his community- all of which who’d like to see their surfboard live on for a greater purpose. A few have been collected straight from streets, thanks to many of Silver’s friends who promptly call upon their discovery.

Silver finds profound inspiration in art that sparks a sense of rediscovery—a fresh encounter with the familiar. He is drawn to pieces that invite viewers to be fully present, encouraging immersion in the visual journey. In his technique, Silver weaves empowering and uplifting messages beneath layers of paint, making rediscovery a central theme in his artistic expression.
